Marina Ship’s Store
More items have landed in the store this week! There is a new retro t-shirt design on a 100% cotton shirt. There are a couple new colors of the Cool-Fit boonie, a gray and a navy to go alongside the white and light blue that we already have. Pink and mint green custom women’s baseball caps and three new AFTCO straw hats also arrived! We had such a terrific response to the toddler/kids size solar shirts that more have been ordered! Stay tuned for their arrival and pictures!
50th Anniversary Merchandise
Just in time for Father’s Day! We have a 30% off sale on the remaining 50th Anniversary merchandise! Come get yourself a moisture wicking polo, comfy t-shirt, cool hat, and a golf towel! All with the special logo! If you’re going to The Landings Night at the Savannah Bananas game later this month, be sure to stop by and get something to wear so you can represent our awesome community!
Landings Sailing Club
This Friday, there will be a Beer Can Race/Social Event. These have become quite popular and very well attended. If you’ve ever wondered what being a part of The Landings Sailing Club is all about, this is the perfect opportunity to find out. Please email Doug Powelson (email@example.com).
There will be a new session of the Basic Sailing Course beginning on Saturday, July 23 to be offered by a certified SEAS (Society for the Education of American Sailors) instructor in collaboration with local sailors from The Landings Sailing Club. This is intended to teach basics of sailing to those 21 and over who have never been on a sailboat, as well as those with some experience. This is a two-day course that includes classroom instruction plus an on-the-water session. The cost is $100 per student. $25 is refundable if you join TLSC within 30 days. You must be a Landings resident. Please reach out to Angela Margolit if you’re interested (973-296-8011 or firstname.lastname@example.org).
The Landings Harbor Marina dry, wet, and jet ski storage is at full capacity. We continue to maintain a waiting list for all slips.

2022 Hurricane Season Preparation
Please review your insurance policy and be sure the Marina has a copy on file. Forecasters at NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center, a division of the National Weather Service, are predicting above-average hurricane activity this year — which would make it the seventh consecutive above-average hurricane season. NOAA’s outlook for the 2022 Atlantic hurricane season, which extends from June 1 to November 30, predicts a 65% chance of an above-normal season, a 25% chance of a near-normal season, and a 10% chance of a below-normal season.
For the 2022 hurricane season, NOAA is forecasting a likely range of 14 to 21 named storms (winds of 39 mph or higher), of which 6 to 10 could become hurricanes (winds of 74 mph or higher), including 3 to 6 major hurricanes (category 3, 4 or 5; with winds of 111 mph or higher). NOAA provides these ranges with 70% confidence.
