Suspicious Incidents

Security responded to a noise complaint in the area of Little Comfort Road on Saturday, November 13. The complainant advised that it sounded like vehicles were racing in the area. Officers patrolled the surrounding areas and did not hear or see anything suspicious. There were no additional reports.

On Sunday, November 14, Security responded to Odingsell Lane at approximately midnight for a report of a suspicious golf maintenance vehicle. Upon arrival, the officer patrolled Odingsell Lane as well as the surrounding area for any suspicious activity. The officer did not notice any suspicious vehicles, noises, or persons in the area. There were no additional reports.

Dog Park Incident

On Saturday, November 13, Security responded to the Dog Park for a report of a patron pouring ammonia in areas of the Park where dogs had been digging. Several patrons were concerned as ammonia is highly toxic to both humans and dogs. One patron advised that he attempted to clean the area by digging out the contaminated soil and soaking the area with water. Written reports were obtained from Park patrons regarding the incident, and the persons responsible for using ammonia to discourage digging was advised of the concerns and asked not to repeat this practice. A Public Works team member responded the next morning to ensure the area was decontaminated. The report was forwarded to Public Works for additional follow-up.
