Delegal Creek Marina

Summer operating Hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Delegal Creek Marina

Savannah had some beautiful weather this week with only a couple of late afternoon thunderstorms. Tuesday’s quick moving storm was an awesome sight of Mother Nature.

The kayak launch dock at Delegal was noticeably taking in water during the past week. Once enough water became trapped, it began to lift to an unsafe point. Staff pulled the kayak launch from the water on Monday to evaluate the issue. A hole was found under the handrail near the launching end of the dock. The launch received a good scraping and pressure washing while the repair was being made. Wednesday afternoon, the rails were reinstalled, and the launch dock was placed back in service.

Staff has been busy pressure washing and cleaning the concrete docks after a busy summer and in preparation of the beginning of transient season.
