Chatham County Yard Debris Placement

Executive Assistant to the Public Works Director

The Chatham County Department of Public Works collects yard debris (dry trash) every Tuesday. Yard debris includes yard clippings, leaves, limbs, and pruning debris. Landings Association policy is that yard debris must not be placed curbside until the day before pickup…no more than 24-hours). Yard debris includes yard clippings, leaves, limbs, and pruning debris. Chatham County will not accept household garbage with your yard debris.

The Landings Association’s Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining the storm drains within the community by keeping them clear of debris.

Due to the nature of yard debris, these materials easily blow into our storm drains when placed on or near the storm drain covers. When heavy rains move through the community, clogged storm drains can result in the flooding of our streets. According to The Landings Rules & Regulations (C.5), Trash of any kind must not be placed or discarded on unimproved lots or TLA common property.

We appreciate your efforts in keeping our storm drain covers clear of debris as we work together to keep our community beautiful and well maintained. For more information regarding dry trash, please refer to pages 22 and 40 of the 2021 Landings Directory or email The Landings Association's Public Works Department (pwmanagers@landings.org).
