Even as the world has seemingly come to a stop, Landings home sales continue to accelerate…
As I reported last month, nothing shows The Landings’ legacy more tangibly than the amazing continuation of home sales during this unprecedented time.
During the first four months of the year, there actually were more homes sold than during the same period in 2019. There is no question that maintaining The Landings Company’s (TLCo) national marketing efforts through the two prior hurricanes and now, during this pandemic, is critical to keeping our brand in front of those likely to consider a move here. How do we know? Just look at the bottom of the chart below at the 27% increase in national buyers (those from outside the Savannah MSA, be it Atlanta or Alaska).
Community home showings have increased from less than five per day at its low point to now 12 per day and climbing, with the results increasing accordingly. Through May 20, we have represented the buyer, seller, or both in 26 home sales this month, with 1/3 of the month to go as I write this!
Notice below how the number of homes on the market has come down substantially since just one year ago. With demand up and homes on the market down, the months of inventory is much more balanced between buyers and sellers at 4.5 months. For those looking to list and sell their home, this is a great time to call us.
The Company’s performance within the community home sales is shown below. We are selling at a nearly 20% higher median price and in nearly 40% less time (days on market) vs. all other firms.
New lead activity from those interested in our community, as well as those specifically asking to schedule a Discovery Visit after June 1, are surprisingly robust.
