Storm Drain Repair and Maintenance
Southeast Pipe began the repair of the storm drainpipe in the Village near Lake Street and the Wells Fargo bank this week. Barring any complications, the contractor anticipates completion of this repair by the end of next week. As a reminder, this repair is included within this year’s capital project.
Road Repair and Maintenance
On Friday, Bennett Paving completed the re-milling and re-paving of Franklin Creek Road South from Activity Drive to Westcross Road. This work was recommended by our engineers to improve the rideability of the roadway and all costs associated with this work are included within the project scope. The contractor also milled and paved Canticle Lane and an area of asphalt on Henry Clay Court where a storm drain box was installed last week.
Community Path Repair and Maintenance
This week, Absolute Concrete completed the repair and replacement of community path panels from The Landings Association Building to Tidewater Way. As a reminder, these panel repairs are funded through the Public Works Department’s operational budget.
Landings Harbor Picnic Grounds, Tiki Bar and Fixed Pier
Over the last week, in-house staff worked on preventative maintenance items around The Landings Harbor Picnic Grounds to include pressure washing the Tiki Bar, the structures around the picnic grounds and the pier. Staff also replaced several boards along the pier in preparation for the annual resealing of the pier.
Tree Maintenance on Common Property
In preparation for the installation of the Monastery Ruins interpretative signage (that was generously donated and funded by Skidaway Audubon), in-house crews completed the pruning of live oaks and palm trees in this area. The tree crew also pruned areas around TLA-owned facilities to include the RV Yards, the Dog Park and center islands located throughout the community.
