The ASA 101 course book, “Sailing Made Easy”, is highly recommended but not required or provided. Several handouts will be given out before, during, and after the class.
Class the first day will be held at the The Landings Association's Conference Room (600 Landings Way South). The second session will be held at the Landings Harbor Marina where we will have access to TLSC boats (Rhodes 19s).
Please bring a lunch the first day, and plenty of water to drink throughout the class.
We always attend to safety issues on the water and docks. You must be in fair physical condition and able to step from a dock onto a floating boat. Personal Flotation Devices will be required; bring your own or borrow one of ours. Please wear proper boat shoes both days.
All graduates will have gained the confidence, experience and knowledge to sail a small keel boat. You will also be informed of the numerous sailing, racing, and cruising opportunities in the Savannah area – and beyond!
