Captain Mike Neal, seasoned cruise captain and owner of Bull River Cruises and Moon River Kayak Tours, will be the featured speaker at the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) of Skidaway’s upcoming meeting and seminar to be held on Monday, May 9, at St. Peter’s Church beginning at 7:00 pm. Capt. Mike will share his knowledge about the barrier islands with the history and nature of the area, boating along Coastal Georgia, and his interesting experiences working with the film and TV industries. Capt. Mike’s Bull River Cruises is a Savannah, GA, boat tour / eco tour company that explores the barrier islands, marshes and rivers of coastal Georgia, including the nature and history of the Savannah area. Sites seen on these trips might include dolphins, Skidaway Island State Park, Wassaw, Ossabaw, the Savannah River, and Paula Deen’s home. Michael Neal, was born in Sanford, Maine, lived all over the world, and now has resided in Savannah for over 20 years. His love of the water led him to become a PADI Dive Instructor, USCG 100 Ton Master Captain, Life Guard, US Power Boating Instructor, and achieve a degree from Maine Maritime Academy in Marine Operations and Small Vessel Management. Capt. Mike not only takes area residents on fun and educational tours of area aquatics; he is also known for Marine Coordination and Water Safety in film and television productions, scouting water locations, preparing budgets, assembling a marine crew, finding picture boats, camera boats and support vessels. His list of film and TV credits is impressive, including Black Panther 2 and Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The CCA’s May raffle prize will be a half-day inshore cruise for two with Capt. Stan Allen of Marshland Adventures.
